The Transcendental Meditation technique is simple, natural, effortless, and easily learned. It is practiced for 20 minutes twice a day while sitting comfortably with the eyes closed. The TM technique is not a religion or philosophy, nor does it require any change of lifestyle. The Transcendental Meditation technique is taught through a seven-step course of instruction by a trained TM teacher. The course is followed by weekly, and then monthly, checking sessions (averaging 20–30 minutes) to ensure correct practice of the technique. The course also includes anoptional, lifetime follow-up of checking and knowledge to ensuremaximum benefit. Anyone 10 years of age or older can learn thepractice. (There’s a special technique for children under 10.)
